The WebQuest - An inquiry-based activity using web sources for information
What is it? Common Elements:
- Structure: Tasks that guide students to a product/presentation.
- Setting: Group assignment, collaboration with others (inside and out of school) with various roles.
- Research: Teacher selected links (in order to save time and provide quality sources).
- Analysis, Problem-solving
- Evaluation: Rubric – product content & presentation.
- Student reflection: think of themselves as learners in the process.
Think of the webquest as a "quorum concept". If it meets 4 of the 6 criteria, you could call it a webquest.
